Beginning of the championship
In 1970, the Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship was established to provide a platform for county senior championships to showcase their skills. The tournament began as a knockout competition in 1971 and has since been a great opportunity for clubs to compete and demonstrate their abilities at the highest level.
The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship witnesses an active participation of eight county teams every year, with the championship kicking off every November. Division of the teams
The Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship consists of eight teams. The Kilkenny Club team leads as it has won twenty-four (24) titles. Every team took part in this championship, out of them 18 teams were just that team who won the title for only one time. Moreover, the ten (10) teams came out on top for the title at least a few times.

Tournament format
This tournament is eliminated because the defeated team is kicked out of the tournament. For conducting the matches, pairs are assembled randomly. In this event, if a match is drawn, there is the time of additional time, however, assuming the two sides are as yet level toward the finish of extra time a replay happens, etc. until a champ is found.

Quarterfinal
8 teams participated in this quarter-final. Four of the eight teams have made it to the semi-finals and are all qualified to compete. The championship eliminates the four losing teams from the competition.
Semi-final
The two winning teams advance straightforwardly to the final. The championship eliminates the two losing teams from further competition.
Final
The two semi-final victors play the final.

Pad Joe Whelehan
Pad Joe Whelehan is a hurling manager and previously performed as a player. Throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, he actively participated in several prestigious clubs, including St. Rynagh’s, and was a key Offaly Inter Senior team member. He came out on top for 5 championships acting in his Birr team and won their first title in 1997.
Adrian Finan
Adrian Finan is a hurler. His team James Stephens brought home 2 championships for him. He won his first title in 2004.
Maurice Aylward
Maurice Aylward is also an Irish hurler. His team Ballyhale Shamrocks brought home 2 championships. He came out on top for his most memorable championship, in 2006.
Mattie Kenny
Mattie Kenny is also an Irish hurler and former manager of the Dublin senior team. As a concern with their winning, he won 2 titles for his Cuala team. In 2016 won his first title.
Henry Shefflin
Henry Shefflin, a former hurling player of great renown, currently manages the Galway senior team. His nickname is King Henry. He won 2 titles for the team Ballyhale Shamrocks. The year 2018 marked the year of his first championship victory.
It’s worth noting that this manager has won more titles than any other, with all the other managers only managing to win once.
